About the Court Network service

Going to court can be stressful, and it's not always easy to understand what's happening or what other services are out there. This is why you'll find Court Network volunteers here to help you through your time at the Neighbourhood Justice Centre.

Court Network volunteers (called ‘Networkers) provide non-legal support and information to anyone attending court including family and friends of clients.

When you come to our court, a networkers can provide you with:

  • information about court procedures
  • referrals to community resources and services
  • victim support
  • company and support.

Pre-court visit

A great way to prepare for your day in court is to visit the NJC and see the court a few days before your hearing. This means you'll know what to expect on the day, including how to get here on time using public transport or where to park, and know who'll meet and what the courtroom looks like.

Get in touch with us on 9948 8777 we'll organise a Networker to give you a pre-court visit.
